Today 24/2/08 the Housing Minister Caroline Flint on the Politics Show stated that the Eco Towns would after submission to Government and scrutiny by EA and Natural England to examine their viability etc would be reappraised at the Local level where they would be subject the normal planning procedure. This comment was made in response to opposition groups concerns that these eco towns would be fast tracked at a national level and not subject to the usual local planning rules. D o I believe her.
